Hey everyone and welcome back to the Blog!!
Today is an update from our 3 Days in Airlie Beach; In a way, this was the 1st real part of the Holiday as Brisbane was more of a stopover. So we decided that in the 3 days and nights we had here we would not do too much.
So we left quite early from Brisbane and Flew into Hamilton Island, It was great to see quite briefly but if we thought about it we would have flown into the mainland. That’s ok Hamilton was super pretty. Soon enough after a transfer by boat we were in Airlie Beach.
After landing and getting together our belongings we made our way to our accommodation. This is where the fun ended for a moment, we booked a place with a view but if you think of views well they involve hills, so we climbed one of the highest hills we have claimed to date. Well maybe that’s a slight exaugurated but with backpacks and a suitcase, I’m sure you can feel our pain.
We finally got there and believe me when I say the view was worth it. Staying at the Pinnacles Resort was a great choice. Our room had direct access to the pool which is always great and to top it off it was Infinity and the view was breathtaking.
Being Honest this part of the Whitsundays we decided not to do too much, it consisted us of us lying around the pool, doing a few small walks into the town trying to defeat the hill each time and eating lots of food and having a few alcoholic beverages too.
Let’s talk about the pool and the room though, Well the pool was great, not huge but the place wasn’t overcrowded so always a bed by the pool and space to cool down. The room was perfect, had everything we needed from a bed to a Tv and a kitchen so we could try and be sensible and cook some meals to save money as not working for a few months means money only goes down. It also had a spa bath which was great. Lots of nice features too like some complimentary drinks and snacks which was a great touch.
Airlie beach its self was nice, we went to a few places for a couple of meals and drinks.
That’s it for this blog, I write this as I sit overlooking the Ocean on Island life and Time, That Blog will be coming soon and next.
