Coffee is good and on the Coast, it’s very hard to come by. Bam Bam took me home to Melbourne, The quality of the coffee, the smoothness a slight fruity hint and to top it off quality milk textures with latte art. I would go as far as saying top 5 for coffee on the coast and I will return here for some more quality coffee.
For the Main event, I opted for the Violet Avocado, quite simply yum on a plate! Sourdough with a beetroot hummus spiced lebneh and a poached egg. This was a tasty dish full of flavour and texture and once again reminded me of Melbourne. For $17.90 it was a good sized portion and made me full. Options to add extras like salmon, bacon, sausages and Haloumi was also a nice touch even though I did not do this as I was not overly hungry at the time of ordering.
My food partner in crime went for the Pork Belly Bánh Mi Croissant. Wow, it looked good and again at a great price $16.90. it was full of colour and by the reaction lots of wonderful flavours too.
It would have been a crime to leave without going up and taking away some baked goods, and they were as delicious as the breakfast.
I have been on the GoldCoast for just over 6 months now and it was the 1st time I felt like I was back in hipster Melbourne, a queue to get inside and it was worth the 20 minute wait. All the staff were super friendly so I cannot fault that apart from the whole order at the counter thing. There was enough staff in my opinion to take orders and I think this would really bring this place to the next level.
Wonderful Coffee, Food and experience. I loved the fact that there was a brunch menu too as lots of places of the coast serve breakfast and at 11 switches to lunch. having an all-day menu was perfect and the baked goods made it even better. Staff were lovely, but table service is a big thing for me as I feel it completes the experience.
